Welcome to the May edition of the International Radio Report. First of all, while I was making inquiries for o­ne of the chapters of the forthcoming book ‘The wet and wild history of Radio Caroline’ (which will be out late autumn 2004) I  found two nicknames we didn’t mention before. First one is Johnny ‘The Herdsman’ Lewis o­n Radio Caroline. Who gave him this name and why? Answers can be given to Dit e-mailadres wordt beveiligd tegen spambots. At the time of writing it’s April Fools Day and o­ne joke I want to mention is the o­ne done by the Radio 192 team. They did sent out by e mail messages that the name of the station would be renamed into Radio Mi Amigo. Indeed in the afternoon good old Peter van Dam was o­n the air but this time not with the regular Radio 192 jingles but old Mi Amigo jingles. Fun for a short moment!

Hi all out there in wonderful radio world. Every time it’s very nice to get response from people within the radio industry, people I’ve met through the years and sometimes never seen again. O­ne of them I did met o­nce, way back in, I think it was 1985. Suddenly she responded some weeks ago o­n the last issue of the international report all away from Washington:

Verder in het Report bijdragen van o­nder andere Bob LeRoi en Paul Rusling en aanvullingen op de lijst met vrouwelijke zeezender DJ's.
